Where do you buy your art supplies?

I'm a newbie, making plans for beginning HSing next year for Kindergarten (besides the obvious life learning we already do). I'm browsing around at Hobby Lobby and JoAnns for art materials, and while the prices aren't bad if I figure in the 40% coupon, I can't bear to ever buy more than 1 thing at a time because I know what their markup must be if they hand those 40% coupons like candy. It got me to thinking: Where do a lot of you buy good quality art materials? And how are the prices?

Please, rescue me from 29 consecutive JoAnns visits with 29 different coupons......:)

I buy lots of crayons, markers, scissors, glue, construction paper, etc. in bulk during all of the August back-to-school sales. Everything else I just buy as needed, one item at a time, using 40% off coupons from Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

My kids also get lots of art supplies for Christmas from aunts and uncles so I rarely have to really buy many other than very specific items for specific projects (ie: had to buy wicks to make candles recently, I've bought a couple of those cardboard displays for science fair projects, etc.) I actually have a whole cabinet in the basement of nothing but new, unopened overflow art supplies so most of the time I can just "shop" from there for what's needed.
