Creativity takes time

That is a great message!

I do remember, as a preschool teacher, hearing that children need blocks of time to create. For example, (some sort of) research showed that children become most creative in dramatic play AFTER 30 minutes has passed. The first 30, apparently, are just the warm-up!

I've noticed that with my own kids, and our hsing group. It sometimes takes them time to get the play going, but when it's going, it's nothing you want to mess with.

This is one reason I never stopped intense play to do 'school' work. That play serves a deep, and even intellectual, need. Hsing gives us this freedom.
