FrogMom5
I want to give you all an update on my brother-in-law. First, thank-you to everyone who is praying for him. He really needs all the prayers and good thoughts that he can get. Russ took a turn for the worse this weekend. He is swollen from the stomach down and losing mass in his upper body. He is in a lot of pain. The labs came back saying he has contracted 3 exotic, water-borne bugs. The doctors are puzzled over how he got them and how one of them got into his lungs. We haven't heard anything back from the CDC Infectious Diseases yet, but that may take a while. My sister is pregnant too. We are worried that she will lose the baby due to stress. This whole situation is surreal. It is like something we would watch on Discovery Health, not have it happen irl. We are all very worried. Any prayers you can offer for him and my sister are greatly appreciated. They really need them. Thank you. Denise
Jean in Newcastle
I hope that now that they know the causes of his pain and illness that they can effectively treat it. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
Lacie
Atleast they know what is causing the problem. Now they should be able to treat him and get him home to his wife. Saying a prayer for him and the family. :grouphug:

Starr
That's scary, not knowing where they came from. I'm sorry and hope they are continuing to figure things out. Praying.

Wabi Sabi
Goodness, how horrible. I'll keep them in my thoughts. Has your BIL traveled anywhere recently?
FrogMom5
Goodness, how horrible. I'll keep them in my thoughts. Has your BIL traveled anywhere recently? No, he hasn't been out of the country for several years. We may never know how or where he picked up these bugs. It is very unusual. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and hugs. So far, there has been no change in his condition. That's good news, right? We're all just waiting for him to begin getting better. Thanks again for the prayers. They are really appreciated.
