Miss Peregrine
No Christmas up yet. In fact, I went to Target the other day to buy some fall-ish stuff and the only Thanksgiving-themed items were an end cap of paper plates, napkins, and cups. Nothing else anywhere. It was all Christmas. :glare:
mytwomonkeys
Question: What is Advent? Why Advent Calendars? What's the point? (genuinely curious) advent follows the liturgical calendar & counts down the days until christmas (usually begins the 4th sunday before christmas). each sunday, we would light a differnt candle and prepare for the coming of christmas. at least in the UMC church, this is how it worked. lent is a lso a very big deal, and it starts on ash wednesday and counts down the days until easter sunday. lent is my favorite time of year. zaichiki
We don't decorate for Christmas until the December birthdays in our family are over. So... it's usually sometime during the week before Christmas that we do it. We keep the decorations up until Epiphany. After all, it IS the 12 days of Christmas. :)
