Guest
I am trying to decide between this and VP's Self Paced courses. If I go with HO...should I combine or split up my 3rd and 4th grader? I don't know if I should start them both in Ancients level 1 and continue them both on from there. Or, if I should start with Ancients level 1 this year and next year my dd(8) can do Middles Ages level 1, and my ds(10) can do Middle Ages level 2. What would you do? Hedgehog
I have all of History Odyssey level 2. If you choose HO, I think it depends very much on the ability of your dc. If their ability is very close, I'd keep them together, but if not, then give them separate courses. (This is assuming that you will use it as written.). History Odyssey definitely gets harder as you go from Ancients to Middle Ages and so on up. It is written to the student; we find that as long as I start Rabbit off (10mins explanation and discussion), she can complete the lessons pretty much by herself. HTH. Guest
Thank you for your help. I decided to go with VP's self paced history courses. I think they are going to have an awesome year using it! I am now just patiently waiting for my email so that they can get started :).
shanezomom
Summer, if your kids are like our son, you will be amazed at how much they will learn with VP self-paced. I think you will enjoy it as much as they do.
