ktgrok
I know my son has a pistol from Walmart, and a rifle from pyramid air. He researched the rifle a LOT, and saved for 6 months for it.

Shelly in IL
M-4, a big kid can use a m249, a smaller kid could use a light weight m-4 or MP -5 These are good quality expensive guns, mostly made from metal. They shoot very hard. My ds15 and ds12 have some and participate in wars. Fun boy stuff. Definitely need eye and face/tooth protection. DawnM
I guess I should have specified price.....over $300 is not an option at the moment. We already have gear.
Lady Florida.
My son has this one. We really can't afford a "good" one, but it allows him to hold his own in battles against kids with more expensive guns.
DawnM
Thank you. I will take a look at that one. Dawn

Lady Florida.
The least expensive shipping option was almost $20, but even with shipping included that we couldn't find it anywhere else at a better price.
NicAnn
Tokyo Mauri and Classic Army make really good airsoft guns. I recommend getting a used one, if your price point is low. It has a better resale value and will last longer than the ones you buy at Walmart. M4 or M16 will be some of the more popular styles. Easy to get mags and upgrades.
