Some of the Kindles list "free 3G" What does that mean? I thought you needed a provider to get 3G unless it is through wi-fi.

The Fire: Can I use it with itunes and Apple apps or is is a different operating system and won't be compatible?

The Fire states that Cloud can hold your content so you can access it at anytime but wouldn't you need wi-fi to access it?

If you are reading a book, can you put more than one bookmark on it? Say I have the kids reading a Sonlight Core book and they are sharing, can they each bookmark their own spots on the same book?

I am considering getting one to use with SL for next year to not take up so much bookshelf space.

Thanks,

Dawn

Nope, Kindles use such little 3G that it is free if you get that version.

Yes, although it will go automatically to the last one read.

Thanks, it does.

One thing that makes it appealing is that if we purchase a book, we can load it onto our ipad, the computer and the Kindle and could all read it together for the read alouds.

I have one son who struggles with reading and we often try to at least have two copies of the books.
