Rivka
In the last 24 hours, I've seen my daughter reading: Dragon Slippers, by Jessica Day George, Return to Howliday Inn, by James Howe Moominland Midwinter, by Tove Jansson, and If You Lived at the Time of the American Revolution, by Kay Moore. That's not even counting the other books scattered across her room with a place marked: Poppy by Avi, various Secrets of Droon books, Calvin and Hobbes. To the best of my knowledge, those haven't been in the last 24 hours. I think I've found the kid the Sonlight lesson plans were invented for. :tongue_smilie: Anyone else's kid prefer to read multiple books at once? AK_Mom4
DD10 has a book for each car, several in her bed, one for reading at the table with snacks, and 2or3 in the living room.
Ester Maria
Sounds familiar. We all suffer from that in our family.
macpuffins
1-2 in the bathroom 4 on my nightstand 1 in my purse 1 on my dresser 2 on shelf in hallway and those are the ones 'on the go' that I can think of off the top of my head. Not to mention the magazines that are partly read (about 10 diff ones in the bathroom) Oh, they're not all the same genre! Not even close, though the majority are science fiction. p. Word Nerd
I'm currently reading three. It's a combination of fiction and nonfiction, though, not several novels at the same time.
Kathy in Richmond
All the time....I've got 7 books in my stack right now: on the desk, on the bedside table, in my bag, in the car...
Liz CA
This is great! I was a kid like that and am still doing it as an adult. I have several books sitting around at any time waiting to be read, in the process of being read and almost finished. :)
Mona100
I am totally jealous. I could never do that. I have tried in the past to do that but no way. I get so involved in the story regardless of how many times I have read it. But I can read a magazine and a book at the same time but never two magazines or two books.
