BatmansWife
Oh WOW! That gave me goosebumps. I kept thinking....this can't be real...this has got to be fake. I was wondering what kind of birds they were.....at the end it said starlings. I never knew a group of starlings was called a murmuration. How lucky were they to have caught that on video. It's.amazing! I gotta show this to the family. Thanks for sharing!

Tress
We had something similar not far from where I live. We went to look at it several evenings in a row. It was amazing. Link to Dutch news video: http://www.rnw.nl/nederlands/video/spreeuwen-geven-luchtshow-boven-utrecht ETA: AprilMay, when I first saw the above video, I too was convinced that it was fake, I could not believe a groups of birds could fly like that. But it is real and so very beautiful! Edited November 13, 2011 by Tress
kalanamak
I love how forms in nature recur. This is ameboid. I've loved watching the sprays of starlings over the bridges out here, the distance circling pigeon flocks high above NYC, and collections of birds of prey all wide-wingedly catching the same updraft. Denise in Florida
Gorgeous. Thank you. Do you think the starlings are having fun? Is it like riding a roller coaster?
