tlh
Just wondering.....did your students answer their unit test questions from memory or did you allow an open book test? TIA, Tammy
GailV
U.S. or World? Dd is doing World. She does them from memory. But she says so far it's mostly been stuff she learned years ago.

Julie in MN
We're doing World and I've required them by memory, since many of the questions were on the chapter reviews which he did open book, so I couldn't see having him do them open book a second time. However, there is something about the tests that isn't quite clicking with us so I'm evaluating what to do. I've received a couple of emails from folks who had the same experience, while others had no problem with the tests, so I haven't decided if it's us or the tests. Photo Ninja
Closed book tests here, for both U.S. and World History courses. I wanted my dd to get used to studying for that type of a test in addition to using it as one way to evaluate what she had learned.
