myfunnybunch
I just sat in my own living room browsing available book selections then had a library book delivered to my hands, just little waves of information flying through the air. I think my brain just exploded. Suddenly I miss the Bookmobile. When I was a kid, we lived in the country and it came...once a week? Every other? It was tiny and smelled of books and the librarian would say, "I brought this because I thought you'd like it," and she always smiled. This should be exciting, but it makes me feel sad too. Like...fake candles at a party (from that other thread). Poo. Cat

You can't get that in the ether.
Cindyg
I remember and loved the bookmobile too. What a wonderful thing it was! But would I trade it for downloading e-books and e-audiobooks from the library for free, 24/7? No way on God's green earth. How I LOVE e-books! I'm SO thankful that the library has kept up with the times.
