HollyDay
My dd will have 1 credit physical science, 1 credit biology, and 1 credit chemistry at the end of 10th grade. I am not doing physics until 12th grade so she can get 1 year of Saxon Adv Math prior to starting physics. Dd would like to do a study on archeology and paleontology next year and take that year off the "traditional" science track. Does anyone have any suggestions of books to use for such a study????? Thanks!
memphispeg
You could do environmental science? Or there was a thread recently about Geology/Earth Science.
higginszoo
You could probably do Geology with a Paleontology focus to it.
Pam L in Mid Tenn
She could check out books from the library and watch documentaries. She could write a research paper for the grade.
HollyDay
You could probably do Geology with a Paleontology focus to it. That sounds like a good idea. Do you know of any spines?
higginszoo
That sounds like a good idea. Do you know of any spines? I'll email my uncle or talk to my cousin. My uncle is a geologist (has taught at Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech), and my cousin was really into paleontology when he was younger.
