CalicoKat
This is new to us and the guy installing it said that it's safe to leave on all the time even when we're not home. Do you? I know why some might not. Just curious. Thanks!
jennsmile
I don't have a pellet stove but I do have a wood stove. We have learned to leave a fire going and yes it is safe. If we know we are headed out early we might not get a flaming fire going before we leave, but even a little fire is nice to come home to as it gets warm faster. southernm
We have a wood stove. We have to keep it going at all times, even when we are sleeping or away. It is our only source of heat!

Yes, this is why we were told to do this. We do have a furnace but with the cost of propane so high we'd like to use it as little as possible. MamaHappy
We have a pellet stove and we have always left it on when we leave, even for a vacation. The guy who installed said the same thing.... it's perfectly safe because if anything goes wrong, it will automatically shut itself off. :)

I'll have to think about that. It's so contrary to my phobia about burning down the house.
