BamaTanya
a better sale? Little Bit is getting this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002OED6I8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER. She plays with her Barbies and Disney Princess dolls all the time, confiscating any boxes that come into the house to be their "rooms." We want to get her a real dollhouse for them. I'd like to purchase it early because a couple of reviews mentioned a missing or broken piece that was replaced by the manufacturer -- If we put it together in the shop, we'll know long before the big day. How likely do you think it is that the price will change between now and Christmas? Or how significantly? I don't think this is on any of the "hot toys" lists. Does that make the price more stable? What do you think? Edited November 6, 2011 by BamaTanya
Night Elf
Is there a time frame for refunds? I don't know how one company would handle you coming back within a refund period to ask for a price adjustment. But it might be worth it. I'm buying some stuff now just because I'm in the mood to shop. I'm also worried that some of the stuff I want may be more difficult to find if I wait too late. I hate that 'picked over' fell after Black Friday. I'm most worried about the flat screen tv we want to buy for ds15. I would like to wait until Black Friday because I'm sure I can get a better deal than I would if I buy it now, but I don't want the pressure of not being able to get it if there is so much competition. So, I may not be much help after all! :tongue_smilie:
SweetMissMagnolia
I would probably go ahead and get it now.....I'd hate to get it closer to the holidays and then discover a missing piece.....
elfgivas
it comes up at half price now on amazon.... that's likely as good as it will get unless costco or sam's club is carrying them. even then, its hard to imagine their price being much lower. so i decide based on whether i have the money now or not, and whether my nerves can handle not having the gift for them. in this case, i have money in november and i'd rather have the gift now so that i don't need to think about it any more. fwiw, ann ps. i realized i hadn't google searched it, so i did, and that 110 price looks to be an excellent one. ZooRho
lots of black friday ads are already out for Black Friday. You could look there and see if anything is coming up on the ads. But at half off dont' think you will get better than that
itsheresomewhere
Check out Target's ad. It is on sale until Nov.23 for 99.
RegGuheert
According to CamelCamelCamel this was cheaper between Thanksgiving and Christmas last year on Amazon.
Farrar
With toys, if you're sure it's what you want to get, I think it's better to err on the side of just going ahead and getting it. I've been surprised at what gets jacked up in price in the weeks after Thanksgiving.
Zebra
I just read an article about holiday buying. It basically said that due to the bad economy, retailers are stocking as little as they possibly can. If there is some item you know you really want you should go out and get it now, because they may not have it in stock later. Retailers do not want to have leftovers this year. It could just be hype, but the article make sense to me and it convinced me to just go ahead and start buying things now! I like to be done with my holiday shopping before December anyway. Maybe the sales will be better later, but I would rather not risk it ;)!

I'd never seen that one. There may be several items on my list I'll want to check over there. Thanks!

RegGuheert
What a cool site! I'd never seen that one. There may be several items on my list I'll want to check over there. Thanks!Yes, that is a cool site! I learned about it from someone here and have been using it ever since! It helps me decide whether or not to try to hold out for a sale or go ahead and pull the trigger. It seems that some things NEVER go on sale, though most do. Good luck getting a deal on your daughter's playhouse!
J-rap
Starting in November, if I think it's a good price, I'll get it. BUT, I always save my receipt in case I find a better deal later.
