Only me
My 16 year old dd is about 5-10 with very long legs but she is only a size 1 or 3 so it is difficult to find clothing for her. The only jeans that fit her are American Eagle extra long. She is having surgery in about a month and won't be able to wear jeans for a few weeks. When she had her first surgery last year she was still at home so it didn't matter what the sweatpants looked like (too short, etc.). She is at a private school now. She will already need to get special permission to wear sweatpants but there is no way she can wear jeans or regular pants. The sweatpants can't have writing on the back. I haven't been able to find any sweatpants that come in the long size. The regulars are way too short. Any suggestions?
Wheres Toto
Mens sweatpants are often longer than those for women. Other than that, Victoria's Secret has the longest sweatpants I've been able to find. They do have some with no writing on them.
KatieJ
Can you sew? Even a little? You could cut them and add in a length of fabric. If you cut it at an angle and use a contrast color, it could be quite cute.
justLisa
Try american Eagle Outfitters ae.com I am a size 0 and on the shorter side and appreciate that they have short, regular and long lengths. They are THE best fitting sweats ever. http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?productId=0329_2038_001&catId=cat90034 these ones are my favorites and inexpensive. They really hold up welll to tons of washings. I own several pairs, some years old. http://www.ae.com/aerie/browse/product.jsp?productId=0494_5299_684&catId=cat520029 http://www.ae.com/aerie/browse/product.jsp?productId=0494_5715_056&catId=cat520029&bundleCatId=cat5170018 ETA: these do NOT have writing on the back, but a small logo on front
plansrme
Would yoga pants work? If so, fitcouture has yoga pants in talls, I think 35" inseams. Unfortunately, I do not know this from shopping for 35" insteams. I hope she loves being tall. Terri
Michelle in AL
My dd is 5'8"and a size 3 with long legs. She gets hers at American Eagle and Hollister, both run long on her so they might fit your dd. ~Michelle
higginszoo
My dd and I both wear boys' sweats -- they're longer and usually easier to find than womens' Small or XS. When I had leg surgery, I found some solid color pajama pants that looked like sweats, but ran longer than most women's sweats. They had drawstring waists, which are always a plus. gardenmom5
I never bothered with teen depts -(she's 5'11"). if you must have skinny women's styles/colors/sizes, you can try tall girls - but, it is VERY pricey. I have bought my daughter atheltic wear from REI, generally men's tall, etc. sometimes something will be available in misses. otherwise, we've found most places to be very hit and miss. jcPenny.com has tall sizes online only. they do have atheltic wear reasonably priced, but most everything starts at a medium. if you look, there are smalls. classicHSmom
These from ON seem to get good reviews and are often too long.
