Canadianmumof5
(can those 2 even be in the same sentence?) I'm a little slow on the uptake of the c-rods discussion  I do like Saxon (i know, i know, you either love it or hate it), and the kids seem to be doing well with it so far. BUT......DD seems to be struggling a little with her basic facts. Not a lot. I'm sure it is normal but with DS10 being so quick in math, it is hard not to compare the 2. Anyway, I see that many here are thrilled with the c-rods. And I'm wondering if the concept can still apply even though we are using Saxon. Hope this isn't a dumb question? Is anyone doing Saxon with these?

There is no reason one couldn't use Cuisenaire Rods to good effect with any math program including Saxon. Bill
