ThreeBlessings
I was wondering for the Life of Fred High School books, how necessary are the home companion books?
scrapbookbuzz
Interesting question as I just bought Fractions, Decimals & Percents, and Pre-Algebra with Biology. Didn't know I "needed" additional books. Do I? :bigear:Thought I'd just have dd write her answers in a notebook.
Samiam
My DS13 is using Beginning Algebra now, and the next Advance Algebra next semester (his 2nd year of Algebra, used a different program last year, so thought to use LOF this year as a different angle...want to cement it firmly and saw no need to rush through it). I couldn't see using it without the Home Companion. Many lessons, it offers additional problems, and end of section quizzes. I don't see it being enough, at high school level, without the HC. Depending on how you use lower levels, ie only curriculum or supplemental, would make a difference if you need the HC, IMHO.

I don't think those books have a Home Companion book. :)

The Home Companion is basically extra practice and quizzes?
