4kiddies
 Any suggestions? Is there hope?
Momof3littles
I think with any phone you should NOT turn it on to check on it. Some people dessicate using rice. I am far from an expert. CHeck a few sources and see if you are supposed to remove the battery. For some reason I think so, but am not certain, so check first. I'm sure someone here will have specifics for you. heartosunshine
I have a friend that did that. In 3 days it started working again. Good luck!
sassenach
Put it in a sealed bag of rice for 3 full days. Whatever you do, don't try to turn it on before the 3 days. We revived dh's iPhone with the rice method.
WillametteMom
Turn it off (or if it's already off, keep it off), remove the battery, and get it dry using one of the following methods described here (but I'd leave it for longer than the 24 hours recommended in the linked article if you can stand the wait): http://www.zdnet.com/blog/apple/how-to-survive-an-iphone-liquid-submersion-hint-its-not-rice/10669 Rice worked for us. Hope it works for you too! Please let us know how it goes. (Rice also worked for my daughter's iPod nano after she accidentally ran it through the washing machine!) specialmama
Yes to rice!
Aggie
I did that one August. We just put it in the hot sun and it dried perfectly. Used it for 2 more years. Now, though, I guess putting it in rice will work better. Unless you live by the equator. :001_smile:

Tmhearn
Dh dropped his in the toilet. He removed battery and sim card and put it into a bag of rice for at least 1 day. Good as new!
hsbaby
Yup, my friend just washed hers accidentally, put it in rice, and was good to go the next day!!
KungFuPanda
I saw a kit for this in Restoration Hardware today. It was a bag of something. Probably those beads they put in shoes. There must be a comparable homemade kit you can make.
keptwoman
I wish I'd read this before DS got his ipod nano wet. I think it's stuffed. I suppose it can't hurt trying the rice now though huh.
extendedforecast
Just last week my dd threw my iPhone in the sink while I was washing dishes. I put it in a container of rice for a few days...and it works! I hope for the same for your phone.
