Alicia64
My mom wants to bake a loaf two times a week and is wondering if brand "x" is better than brand "y". Any suggestions? Alley

Ellesmere
Another happy Zo owner! It was a gift and I love it. My first one was an inexpensive, rarely used one. It was fine, but for the amount of baking we now do, the Zo has been wonderful for us.
Lux Et Veritas Academy
I had a zo years ago and love it too! I bake a ton of bread from scratch, but would love a new one just to keep it going on a regular basis!

Homeschooling Again
I would buy one at a yard sale or Goodwill and wouldn't pay more than $12 to $15. I bought one about 3 years ago at a yard sale for 5 dollars and love it (it's an Oster). I use it at least twice a week. Recently, though, I've switched to using it for the dough cycle only and baking it in the oven. Much better but I understand that's true for all bread makers. AK_Mom4
DH makes 3 loaves of bread a week. Lots of sadwiches here. He strongly prefers the ones that make a tall, sliceable loaf (not the short round loaves). I just bought a hitachi for $10 at the thrift store. Works amazing. Our previous one cost me $20 and was a Westinghouse (also thrift store) and made excellent bread until it took a dive off the counter one day. It had never been used. Which is to say - one man's trash truly is another's treasure and you can find lots of nice bread machines that are hardly (or never) used. NittanyJen
Another Zojurishi fan here. I have been through several machines, and this one has stood the test of several years and hundreds of loaves!
