lamolina
Hi- I am looking for a cursive program for my 2nd grader. We are moving out of the country so any curriculum I can find on PDF or online is so helpful on saving space for us. Any suggestions or programs you would recommend that are available this way? thanks!
NoPlaceLikeHome
This site has some great stuff including a cursive font for word documents. http://donnayoung.org/penmanship/cursive-handwriting.htm Also, search for cursive on the board since there have been a couple of threads with resources posted. nansk
If you are looking for a different handwriting style, here are some Italic handwriting resources: 1. Gunnlaugur Briem's website: http://www.briem.net/ The Briem site has a free font, lots of helpful info on handwriting improvement and copywork for practicing the Italic letter forms. It also contains a huge 40Mb video that is very helpful. In fact, if you properly browse through the site, there is a lot of good info you'll find. 2. Penny Gardner's e-book called "Italics: Beautiful Handwriting for Children": http://www.pennygardner.com/italicsbk.html This is a PDF document, so you can print multiple copies for your students. Very affordable at US$7 from Currclick.com. You can also look at Penny Gardner's videos on YouTube. They are very helpful for learning the Italics cursive joins. 3. Jennifer Guest has provided free Getty-Dubay Italics alphabet practice sheets: http://www.guesthollow.com/homeschool/printables/printablescopywork_alphabet.html 4. Downunder Literature has a free Italics alphabet practice book that uses the New South Wales Foundation (Italic) font: http://www.homeschoolingdownunder.com/English_homeschool_resources/free_alphabet_copywork.html
Amy Jo
Penny Gardener's italics book has standard and cursive italics. Tender Hearts has a cursive program, it's very well done. I love the outline letters as opposed to the dotted lines.

hollyhock
I love The Joy of Handwriting from Teach Me Joy. This is the third cursive program I've tried and I think I finally found the winner. I love that it's a download.
