For those who exercise (past & present)

Just thought this would be fun.

 

Those of you who exercise or have regularly exercised in the past -

 

What unexpected, positive things have occured due to your fitness routine?

 

For me -

I used to be a sloucher. My shoulders usually rounded forward and I slumped a little in my upper back when I walked. Now that my back is a lot stronger I naturally stand tall with my shoulders back. I had no idea it was a strength issue.

 

Another is my left ankle was very weak and I was unable to spread my toes on either foot. After getting a pair of barefoot shoes I can easily spread my toes, my ankle is stronger and so are my calves.

 

What about you?
