Michelle My Bell
For some reason one of my fingers is really swollen and hurts when move it. Last night it felt like it was popping at the middle joint but it isn't popping today. I don't think I injured it in any way. Does anyone have any ideas? thescrappyhomeschooler
I would seriously think back about what you did. You may have injured it without realizing it. Hope it feels better!
specialmama
AH! This used to happen to me in elementary school. It always freaked me out. It never "hurt" bad, but it did feel odd and I didn't do anything to bring it on. The doctor said it was a gas in my knuckle reacting to temperature change. The gas expands, throwing the joint out of whack. Every time it happened it went away on its own, sometimes a day later, sometimes a few hours later. I hope that's all it is for you, and nothing serious. :001_smile:
Tap
Possibly gout? It can affect the joints in the fingers. Gout usually hurts very bad, not just a nagging pain.

I read the description of this and I am not in that kind of pain. I can actually use the finger as long as I don't bump the knuckle or bend it too much. Last night it was popping as I said previously. I hope it does go away on its own.
scrapbookbuzz
My first thought was that you may have actually broken or fractured your finger. Do you have a high pain tolerance? If so, it very well could be fractured. However, if you have mobility and can actually use it, that may not be it. So helpful aren't I?:D
Rosie Q
You may have cellulitis - an infection - in the finger. It's worth a trip to the doctor's office to find out.
