Jane Elliot
I'm looking for a good, reasonably-priced face wash for my dc who get occasional blemishes but aren't plagued with them. Have you found something you like?
elegantlion
Clearasil makes a daily face wash. My ds uses it in the shower. It's been effective so far.

angela in ohio
Clearasil foaming face wash I saw it recommended on an "make your own ProActiv kit" website some years ago, and we've used it ever since.

bbkaren
We've learned that unless there's an severe acne issue, simple and gentle is best. The acid mantle on our skin is what protects it from bacteria and other invaders. It can prevent breakouts in the first place, as well as prevent any we do get from becoming infected. We all use Dr. Bronner's Baby Mild liquid soap in a foamer dispenser at 1:5 ratio with water...for everything except hair. When I get the soap, I adjust the acidity by using, I think, 1 tsp of citric acid per quart and warming it in a pot on the stove to make sure it dissolves and disperses completely. (I'm not 100% certain on that 1 tsp. if interested, let me know and I'll check when I get home).
