Aggie
Say you were driving down a 4 lane road in a college town. A car pulls out from a stop sign, into your inside lane, causes you to swerve to miss plowing into her, then she proceeds to drive erratically. When you pass this car, you see the driver is texting.:glare: Would you consider following that student into her dorm parking lot and letting her know that her driving almost caused a wreck and your dc were in your car? ETA: I don't think I was clear. The driver pulled into her dorm parking lot after driving 1/2 mile. The police won't do anything if they don't catch her driving badly. Texting while driving is not against the law here, either. Edited November 2, 2011 by Aggie
dcjlkplus3
I would be tempted to call the police and report her poor and dangerous driving.
Impish
I would be tempted to call the police and report her poor and dangerous driving. Except I *would* report them.
RoughCollie
Except I *would* report them. Yup. I'd follow her, get her license plate #, and call the cops.
QueenCat
Yup. I'd follow her, get her license plate #, and call the cops. :iagree: I wouldn't confront someone I didn't know, that's too risky for our safety.
Chelle in MO
Yup. I'd follow her, get her license plate #, and call the cops. This is what I have done and would do again. I'm glad you guys are o.k.! That's scary.
Aggie
I would be tempted to call the police and report her poor and dangerous driving. The city police won't do anything unless they see it themselves or there is a wreck. She did, after all, pull into the parking lot. If I saw her driving like that on a highway, I would report her hoping that the police would catch up with her. She was just so oblivious to everything. She didn't appear to hear the horn, either. Seriously, would you confront her in the parking lot?

I don't always know why drivers are playing Russian Roulette, but I've reported what I've seen and where.

Lang Syne Boardie
Never confront anyone in a parking lot, especially if you have children with you.
mrs.m
Seriously, would you confront her in the parking lot? No, I would not. It's not safe. I might start writing letters for better law enforcement covering this matter. I'm glad you're ok. That's what matters.
Janie Grace
I wouldn't do a darn thing except fume to my children about it. But maybe I *should* do more... never thought to, I guess. Glad you're safe!
Mommyof4ks
Yup. I'd follow her, get her license plate #, and call the cops. :iagree: I have and I will again. Driving is serious business, and it is dangerous if done while distracted.
J-rap
I would get her license number and report it to the police. I do not take texting while driving lightly, AT ALL. After my husband had his stroke last year, he was in brain recovery rehab for several months, along with a young college-aged lady who had been hit by a man while texting and driving. She was left severely brain-damaged.

Little Nyssa
What about taking her license # and writing to the college president?
