Aludlam
This is also posted on the K-8 board. First, thank you all for the wonderful help in suggesting books for our Geography/Culture/Missionary study that we will be doing after Christmas. Now, we would like some videos .... please. I've seen several on Amazon, but they are pricey if we would like more than 1 or 2, and they only have a few ratings. So, I was hoping that you would share with me any videos that you especially like. thanks a lot!
Wendi
"Inn of the Sixth Happiness" "End of the Spear" (this one's PG-13) "The Mission" (we just checked this one out and haven't watched it yet, but it looks good) Wendi
Jean in Newcastle
I like these videos actually filmed by missionaries and the tribes they work with: Ee-Taow and The Taliabo Story. http://www.goodseed.com/products/other-resources/
J-rap
Inn of the Sixth Happiness is an all-time favorite of mine. I see someone else listed it too.
Cinder
"The Mission" (we just checked this one out and haven't watched it yet, but it looks good) Wendi I saw The Mission many years ago--I'd not recommend you watch it with young children. It was very good but also disturbing. It takes some maturity to process. JMHO.
Chris in VA
Jim Elliot's wife has a short video with actual footage of her husband (and friends, and her, too) with the Auca people and their missionary outpost (or whatever you call it). She tells the story of his life and death among them in a simple, straightforward way. Through Gates of Splendor--It's WONDERFUL. We got it on Netflix, but I'm going to buy it. ScoutTN
The Torchlighters animated videos are good. 30 minutes each. Jim Elliott, Eric Liddell, Gladys Aylward, William Tyndale and others I can't remember.
