We live rural, and DD's last year in PS (two years ago) they had a new superintendent who WOULD NEVER CALL A SNOW DAY. One day he called a late start when every other school district was closing. The kids got there, and the weather got so much worse the school had to call parents to try to get the kids out of there early. So...kids and parents on the roads to school...and THEN BACK AGAIN in horrible weather just because this bozo thinks HIS district doesn't need snow days. I was fuming! Today, all the school districts nearby were closed....EXCEPT THE LOCAL ONE. 2 hour delay. From noon to 4 pm we got FIVE MORE INCHES OF SNOW. Those poor kids and parents!
