AlisonK
I am praying for him to be found today and that he is ok. His family must be so distraught.
ElizabethB
That is sad, I will be praying. I had a friend who had to lock all her doors and hide the key when her non verbal autistic son was around that age, he would try to run out into the street any chance he could get. She determined that their chances of dying in a fire were less than the chance something would happen to her son if they didn't lock themselves in. (They had tried all kinds of latches and other systems, nothing but hiding the key worked.) He is a teen now, they survived their running years. fhjmom
Praying he is found safe! One of my close friends has a son that has autism and is also deaf and he tends to run. They have had some scary moments but have always found him, with a few hours being the longest. I know it is so scary for the parents!! dsmama
This is in my county, unfortunately. Praying for his return. I also have a nonverbal child who is a runner. So scary. Hundreds of people showed up today to volunteer for the boy's search. I hope he is found soon. There is difficult terrain (brambles, steep banks, etc.) for folks to navigate. A friend of our family (retired police officer) just sent a msg about an hour or so ago that he had been through training and was heading to his search grid location. Kathleen in VA
Yes, I've been reading about this too - fairly nearby to me, too. And, to make matters worse, there have been two incidents of children at bus stops being nearly snatched by some stranger in the last two weeks. Makes me wonder if he's been taken. I'll continue praying that he's found safe and sound.
dsmama
Little Robbie is still missing. Hundreds came out today to help look for him. The search has stopped for the evening except for specially trained people, as some of the terrain in the search perimeter is rough (several volunteers required medical treatment). Please pray. Catwoman
I was hoping you were updating the thread to say he'd been found. This is awful. :(
