specialmama
Can someone tell me if you could turn the internet surfing ability off? I'm thinking for a child who shouldn't be accessing the web. Also, I'm thinking about getting this for my grandmother. She loves playing word games on the computer but needs something more portable. She does not have WiFi at her home and lives in the boonies where there is no high-speed. If we loaded a Kobo with books and games, would she still be able to use it for those purposes without WiFi? Thank you for helping me sort this out! :D

specialmama
Excellent! Thank you Emily! What about the part about accessing your apps or books while you're not in a Wi-Fi area?
Lizzie in Ma
Anything you have game and book wise are available on your Nook without wifi. I keep mine on airplane mode most always anyway to save battery.
ChrissySC
Remember to remove the password from the wifi connection or they can just turn wifi back on. :)
