Geo
We burn through audio books. We have nearly exhausted our local library. Blackstone audio sells audio books used, but they have nothing used (for children) right now. I feel twitchy when anticipating the day when we don't have a new book to pop into the cassette or CD player in our car. Somebody please help! Thanks in advance, Geo
Karen in CO
Free. LibriVox There are several more, I think we had a list of them here at one time, but librivox is the one I use most often.
momto3
Library and Educational Services http://www.libraryanded.com/ is an excellent source and less expensive than most places. They are primarily for school libraries but allow homeschoolers to open an account. You must set up an account before you can view their inventory or order but this is quick, easy and free. We have bought a lot of dramatized Focus on the Family audios such as the Narnia series, Les Miserables and Amazing Grace. They also carry Your Story Hour Adventures in Odyssey and much more. :grouphug:

MUJLBE
For the younger set, the Robert Munsch website has free stories: http://www.robertmunsch.com/ BBC radio also has free books available. Unfortunately, these are abridged (at least the ones I tried). But, they tend to have a variety of stories including modern, older kids, little kids, and at least one older title (not classic but things like Iron Man by Ted Hughes). Selections are available for about 2 weeks and then new ones become available. http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbc7/kids/bigtoe/

Patricia in WA
We enjoy using audible.com. A subscription of $22.95 a month gets you 2 credits which you can use to buy any book in their catalogue. You simply download to itunes or their player and burn or listen. HTHs,
