Carolyn in Ohio
My daughter has 6 college credits - 2 classes - she earned this past summer, between her junior and senior years. Which year should I put them in on my transcript? thanks Carolyn
OLG
I put them with the Junior year since it is considered part of that school year by colleges but you could do it either way.
K-FL
I think of the school year running Sept 1-Aug 31 so it would go on the "prior" years list. That way you don't run into trouble when you're sending transcripts for colleges.
In The Great White North
Around here, dc are considered in the next grade as soon as school ends. Since there is apparently variety around the country, I think you could do whichever you want. We listed courses by topic, not grade, which would eliminate the issue entirely. Kareni
I elected to put summer classes with the previous year's classes. I did this so that classes taken in the summer between 11th and 12th grade would not cause confusion as to what my daughter was doing the first semester of 12th grade while she was applying to college. AngieW in Texas
For my oldest, I listed spring and summer semesters together. For my middle dd, I decided that I like it better with summer and fall together. In general, kids are considered the next grade at the end of May (or early June), so anything they take over the summer is usually considered part of the next grade.
