provenance61
This is our first year HSing, our son is in 4th grade and has had a couple of years of easy Spanish 1X/wk in public school. Not a lot, but common words etc. Is there a program out there which would help him retain what he has learned in Spanish, and move ahead? We were thinking of something he could do 1-2 times/week. Would like it to be fun and interactive, with pronunciations via sound clips. Amy
truebluexf
We've only done the intro week, but we're going to use Powerspeak Spanish. You can buy it a semester at a time (90 lessons) and do them daily or stretch it out, so it might fit the bill for you. It's all on the computer so it's independent, and it's fun and set up like an online game (make your own avatar, earn points to buy things for your character, etc.) for extra motivation. DS really liked the trial and begged me all summer to buy it!
StephanieZ
I'd look at Getting Started with Spanish. It's not fun and games, but it is SO much better than the many other things I've tried with littles.
