tristangrace
Ours is "Chicago Metropolitan Academy for Monkeys." Sometimes I leave off the last two words, though. :w00t:
LMD
oh this is fun! I'm thinking 'The Ayn Rand Academy of Intelligent Life', though people would probably hate that more than 'homeschool x' :D
gardenmom5
How about something snarky like "Buzz Off Academy"? I lOVE it! Actually I suggested BITE ME Academy to hubby just lastnight. translate it into latin, and it would work. they wouldn't know what it meant, and if they did, they might even smile. I think we should just change ours to Hogwarts and let the neighborhood flap its gums about it! I am very partial to Hogwarts. Slartibartfast
We chose two authors we like and then added "School of Math and Science" to the end of those. :)
MSNative
As for what could be said in a situation like that--think Kyra Sedgewick on The Closer--Oh my...this seems to have made you feel defensive. Please don't worry, we can't all be homeschoolers! Hmmm...a bit snarky, perhaps... ;) Must remember that line for a variety of comments. Rosie_0801
{Suburb} School of Open-Mindedness and Humor. That's the most polite way of saying "snark at that, Wench" that I can think of right now. Rosie
theYoungerMrsWarde
I have finally come up with something I like! Sceleratus Classical Academy (It means "ruffians!")
