honumom
Hi all! We're Math U See users and have been thinking about buying the Math U See skip counting cd and book .... but curious if there are better more loved options for skip counting cd's out there that others love?? :) I'm finding out that my dd really responds to audio cds ... she loves the FLL audio cd - she sings the pronoun song just because she loves it so much !! ;) Thank you! Jay3fer
:bigear: I'm curious if there's something wonderful out there, since my dd loves skip counting so much. In the meantime, we have had lots of fun reinforcing skip counting with these free drill sheets.
Susie in MS
It is a matter of taste, but my dd really likes this one. I like that she leans Bible stories while learning to skip count.
Stellalarella
I spent a lot of time looking for just this last year, with no luck. I finally just made up some songs. If only I could post audio of me singing, heh hehe. :tongue_smilie:
Love_to_Read
These two sound promising from the samples...more memorable than just the numbers in a monotone, ifykwim. savmom
There is a decent one on but Rockbots is definitely a fun one! By the way, they have some free stuff on their site like videos, games, & worksheets.
MomsintheGarden
We love this one: http://www.skipcountkid.com/bible_heroes.html We haven't listened to the Original Skip Count Kid. We bought the MUS one a few years ago and didn't like it. I think it was Steve Demme singing in a chipmunk voice. HTH, GardenMom
my2boysteacher
My favorite is by Victor Johnson. The melody is slower and it's easier for kids to hear/digest. My kids really like this one. We also have 100 sheep, but that doesn't stick as well with them.
Suzanne115
My kids love One Hundred Sheep from Common Sense Press :) We loved this one too. My daughter learned to skip count so fast and of course that made multiplication a breeze! Suzanne
homemama
My son has loved the MUS skip counting CD!:001_smile: He's not much of a singer, but he loves that one! homemama
Hunter
Do any of these resources teach up to 20x20? After doing some high school Saxon, I see the benefits of following the advice for math memory work in The Core and would like to memorize up through 20x20. elise1mds
I used this one as a child in school, and I remembered it so well that I ordered it for my own. They love it, too! Multiplication Motivation
