Literary Mom
So we finished book one of Little Women but I didn't realize it was later merged with book two, originally titled Good Wives, to become a 700 page or so volume, which we now know as the complete Little Women. My 9 year-old really enjoyed the color illustrations in book one, but they don't publish that same version for Good Wives, so I'm trying to find a complete edition of Little Women that has color illustrations. Or I'd even settle for b&w, as long as it's not abridged, adapted, etc. Or an edition of Good Wives that's illustrated in color. Wondering if the Jessie Wilcox one circa 1929 is good or if I can expect it to be too tattered, since obviously I'd have to get it used. Literary Mom
I found The Orchard House Edition from the 1940s online, which I got for $15 - it's in good shape and was discarded from the New York Public Library! Best part = Jessie Willcox Smith illustrations :) (posting in case anyone else is looking...)
