RainbowSprinkles
I asked this question in my first tread of CC questions, but I think it got lost by my previous questions. I received an email last night from the director and she told me that this year would be Cycle 3. At home, we are going to use Mystery of History Vol 1. If you do CC, do you care if their cycle matches up with what you're doing at home?
Jim
We don't. I tend to treat CC Foundations as a subject of it's own. Where there is overlap, great. Now, if you want to use CC as a spine and work off of that I think it's doable. Jim
chepyl
Idecided to make science match. But I am not worrying about history. We do the whole timeline each year, so I am just doing the history I had planned.
MeganW
We've only had our first week, but I have quickly discovered that if my kids have at least heard of the material before, they are much more interested in class. We read a book on Columbus a while back, so singing the song about Columbus while waving little boat signs was fun. The science song about tissue types - they could have cared less. My plan going forward is to try where possible to make sure they have had at least minimal exposure to each topic before going to the related class.
