Guest momk2000
I have thought about purchasing these for my dd (5th grade), and would love to hear some reviews. Thanks :)
mcconnellboys
They were originally written a long time ago and have a very conservative slant to them. That said, I did use some of their stories in studying history with my sons. I like to read from a wide variety of authors and discuss differences in points of view from different time periods.... 2_girls_mommy
I just bought FMofRome to do w/Latina Christiana I. I would love to hear how others think too. We are doing this class at co-op. At home our official rotation is SOTW4/moderns. So I was wondering about using FMof Greece next yr when we cycle back through Ancients officially. Just bumping up to hear more... MerryAtHope
We used Famous Men of Greece and Famous Men of Rome last year--are finishing up Rome this year & will use Middle Ages too. We enjoy them--we got the versions with the full color pictures, and they have sometimes added details that were not in other sources we were using, and/or told about people that were not necessarily highlighted in other sources. Merry :-)
