Welcome! We live in the Upstate of SC! I can't wait for cool weather next month. Hope your family is well, and your homeschool year is rarin' to go. This is a great place to "hang out" and ask questions.

Thanks for the welcome! I love the Upstate; I went to Clemson, we briefly lived in Greenville around the time our littlest was born, and we have family up there. I'm definitely ready for cool weather. We're starting school next week.

Welcome!! I'm pretty new here as well, but have found it a most welcoming and informative site!

I peeked at your blog and can I just say how adorable your children are? I was especially drawn to your boy and that gorgeous hair!! I have red curly hair and my husband has "reddish" hair (or did, when he had hair)....I really thought I would have a house full of redheads!! My first son was born with dark hair, curly, but as a "former" (because according to Marines, there is no such thing as former) Marine, he likes the jarhead look, so I never get to see the curls.

I then had four daughters, three of them with slightly wavy, and light brown hair. One dd has curly hair, but like her older brother her hair is very dark. (with an odd red hair here and there). When the youngest dd was 6 we were finally blessed with another blessing, a son, WITH RED CURLY HAIR!!! He is 8 now, and when I can get away with it, it looks very similar to your boys hair and I adore it.....but, alas, he likes the "high and tight" like his older brother. It doesn't help that dh is deputy commander of the local Civil Air Patrol Squadron and my ds spends most Saturdays with all the boys with the short hair.

Probably more information than you wanted to know.....I tend to be a talker (or writer).....Maybe I should think about a blog.

Thanks for the welcome! I think my children are pretty adorable too (but I'm a little biased). ;)

My son actually just got his hair cut!! It now is a good bit shorter, and he styles it into a "faux"-hawk. It grows really quickly, though, so I'm sure by Christmas, he'll be back to the full head of curly hair.

We joke a lot that it seems unfair for him to have gotten all of the curly hair when 3 of the girls ended up with hair like mine - stick-straight. Only 1 of the girls has curly hair, and she's the other red-head in the house.
