jlcejb6
We are just starting GD Italics book C. This is my first time with the program and I opted not to get the TM. If you use this would you please share how much you do? Is it a page a day or break it up even more? Do I need to get the TM? We are also doing copywork and illustrate and write pages once or twice a week each.
boscopup
The TM won't help you break it up. It doesn't have any kind of lesson plan/schedule. It's a TM for the entire series and just has a few pages specifically referencing book C. :tongue_smilie: I'm making my own sheets in Startwrite now, and I just look at how much my son can handle that day and assign that much. Not very scientific. :D
jlcejb6
Thank you. I don't know how much my ds can handle. We used ARFW K in K. Then WWE 1 last year. He loves to do his ill. and write pages and constantly draws and writes notes. We are only going back to a formal handwriting because he forms some of his letters just awful so I am making him go back for practice and because I want him to start making the switch over to cursive. He does the work just doesn't like it very much.
boscopup
Mine doesn't like it either. Not a favorite time of our school day. :glare:
Hedgehogs4
My kids generally do two pages a day. I just keep them plugging along as part of our daily routine.
zoo_keeper
We do a page a day. Especially at the younger levels I have them do extra practice on the bottom of the sheet or an outside notebook.
nmoira
Starting at Book C we do 10 minutes a day, then stop at the end of the current line. When the book is finished the 10 minutes is spent on copywork in (reasonably) best handwriting.
