Jennifer in MI
Our 12 year old International team is playing in the Regional Semi-finals today!!!!! And, it's being televised. This is SO exciting for our little town. This year, our local 10, 11, and 12 year old teams won states!!! These are all kids that my husband has coached and my kids have played with. I don't happen to have a 12 year old this year, so I don't have one on the team. So, if you have ESPN2 - turn it on in 30 minutes!!! I know these kids!!!! eternalknot
Darn, I missed it. How did they play? How exciting, though! I'll keep an eye out, I know my boys would love this :)
michelle l
Cool!! I wonder if you are near me. I think our teams are doing pretty well this year, but I could be wrong. Our middle-school-ish girls won the whole shebang several years ago. We went into town to a local pub to watch on the big screen. It was really fun! Jennifer in MI
That's exciting! We watched yesterday and plan to watch again today. Did you watch? Our guys played their hearts out. Darn, I missed it. How did they play? How exciting, though! I'll keep an eye out, I know my boys would love this :) They lost. The other team is really good!!! But, we're SO proud of them!! Cool!! I wonder if you are near me. I think our teams are doing pretty well this year, but I could be wrong. Our middle-school-ish girls won the whole shebang several years ago. We went into town to a local pub to watch on the big screen. It was really fun! We're in Grosse Pointe Park, MI. They had the game on at a local restaurant/bar. They called my dh in the 3rd inning to ask for prayers (he's an Episcopal priest) and put him on speaker phone. Two of those kids go to our church (the Thompson boys)!! My kids have played on teams with 9 of them. What a fun run they had this year!
