saraha
My kitchen chairs have metal sliders on the bottom, and they have started leaving rust marks on my linoleum. I have scrubbed and even used a scratcher (it is old linoleum that needs replacing anyway, but we don't have the money right now) and they are leaving more all of the time. I don't put chairs back when the floor is wet, I think it is actually from when the kids spill things and the feet must get wet. How can I get the rust spots off the linoleum? Stacia
WD-40? (Just be sure to clean off any traces of it so kids &/or pets don't ingest it.)
kitten18
Magic eraser. At Home Depot, they have all kinds of felt pads and sliders to put on chair legs.

saraha
Thanks for all of the advice! You all are so much smarter than I am!
Lara in Colo
Seriously, you need to find something to cover the chair bottoms with. I like the idea of felt bottoms or even something as simple as sandpaper (to get the rust off of the legs and them using spray varnish to recoat the metal. Otherwise you are just cleaning all the time.
Mabeline
http://www.barkeepersfriend.com/ takes rust off everything :iagree::iagree::iagree: I just used this stuff to get off rust stains in the bathtub that had been there for years. I didn't even have to scrub all that hard. I had tried everything even clr and nothing had ever removed it like the barkeepers friend. It is my new favorite cleaner. I used it to scrub my kitchen sink and it looked new. HTH
