zenjenn
Doing our first dictation. SWB states that if the student student asks how to spell a word, to remind the student that this is not a spelling exercise. So is the idea to let them misspell? Do you correct spelling for them as they go? Afterwards? Let it go entirely? Someone explain the philosophy please.
truebluexf
They are to ask if you they are unsure, and you are to correct them if you see them start to misspell as they write. :)
Jim
Watch as they write and correct spelling immediately, as in as they are in the process of misspelling a word. Watch carefully, correcting any/all errors as they occur, not afterward.
