Jann in TX
I lost some serious weight this past spring and I've kept it off-- until now... I always preferred my tea hot and black--occasionally adding some sugar or stevia. While in Kenya this summer I began to add hot milk--their tea is a bit more acidic and the milk helped--plus it was yummy! Anyways-- the other day I was wanting some tea--but after being outside in the 100+ temps I did not want HOT tea... and I remembered an iced tea latte I had a few years ago. It inspired me and on my next visit to the store I picked up a few items... Tazo spiced chia concentrate (decaf) and some Coffee Mate French Vanilla (refrigerated)... I know Coffee Mate is not the real thing--but it is so yummy for a treat! I put about 1 cup of crushed ice into a Magic Bullet (blender) and added a few ounces of tea and a few Tbs of Coffee Mate... less than a minute later I was in heaven!!! I know I need to wean myself off of the Coffee Mate, but I was looking for comfort NOT health! My middle dd is leaving for college next week and she is taking the Magic Bullet with her!!! (well it is hers...). I guess my indulgences will be short lived! (I'm blessed not to have a coffee shop in my town!)
