TinaSC
I have been using a CM approach to English with my soon to be 5th grader. She will be finishing up Intermediate Language Lessons half way through this next year. Can anyone tell me where she might fit best in R&S English? Would she be ready to move into the 6th grade book after ILL, or should I start her in the 5th grade book?

Has she done diagramming? Does she know the 8 parts of speech yet? These would be the main points I'd consider. If your dd has only done some diagramming, then I would highly recommend starting her at 5th grade level. Rod & Staff English 5 is a foundational level that really should be taken before moving on to 6. Blessings, Lucinda

TinaSC
Great, that is exactly what I needed to know. She will not have had diagramming, just parts of speech. thanks so much!
