Celia
As some of you know, my son (age 7) was recently diagnosed with PDD-NOS, ADHD, and, unless several doctors are completely wrong, he'll be visually impaired early in life although his vision seems almost fine right now. I'd like to pick up a few books on these topics for summer reading, so please share the ones that you've found most helpful! Feel free to post about ones outside the SN topics I've mentioned for the benefit of others. Thank you!
Misty
My favorite for ASD is Healing the New Childhood Epidemics. As for the eyesight... Why is that expected to go? Can you supplement with bilberry or eyebright or anything to make a difference?
SweetMissMagnolia
1001 Great Ideas for Teaching & Raising Children with Autism and Asperger's (not just an activity book-I found alot of info about asperger's that I had not read anywhere else--great book) multiple author contributors
PeterPan
I can tell you the books I'm reading right now ("Why Don't Students Like School", "The Unwritten Rules of Friendship", etc.), but you'll probably find it even more helpful to read posts by people like KarenAnne or one_l_michele and see their booklists. You could even write them privately and ask for their favs if they don't happen to notice your thread. :)

Celia
My favorite for ASD is Healing the New Childhood Epidemics. As for the eyesight... Why is that expected to go? Can you supplement with bilberry or eyebright or anything to make a difference? Thanks for the suggestions! As to the eyesight, my little man has some kind of retinal dystrophy. It's in the very early stages, so they've not been able to diagnose exactly what yet. But according to the 2 retinal specialists I've seen so far, there aren't any treatments, and he will lose his central vision. Right now he's seeing about 20/50. This is all really new to me, so I don't know what bilberry or eyebright are. Thus the need for books :)
