mountainman
I purchased the textbook and workbook for wheelock's latin, is there anything else needed or suggested to go with this?
angela in ohio
My dd really enjoys Scriblers and Scribes, if you want to do some extra translation work (always a good idea.) You will also want to have a Latin dictionary and a stack of blank index cards. :001_smile:
mountainman
I did get Scriblers and Scribes when I placed my order. There was so many extras, I didn't know what I should or should not buy.

I'm sure you'll like it. We didn't get any of the other materials (study guides, etc.) based on advice I got from a few other homeschool moms. In The Great White North
There's online stuff too that can be fun. Wheelock's Latin - The Musical http://www.ainself.net/irony/latin/
Spy Car
Dale Grote's Companion to Wheelocks is a god-send for self study. He knows all the things that trip students up and gently clarifies those things in his supplement. It is a must have. Bill
Elizabeth in WA
Dale Grote's Companion to Wheelocks is a god-send for self study. He knows all the things that trip students up and gently clarifies those things in his supplement. It is a must have. Bill :iagree: I would also suggest 38 Latin Stories and the teacher's guide for 38 stories. I actually like these exercises a little better than Scribblers, but use both with my kids. Oh, and if you like lectures, Dale Grote has ones for the first ten chapters online somewhere and will sell the for the whole book on CD for $50 (as of last fall).
