OK, not the answer you are looking for, but

Have your children make their own flashcards.

Reviewing flashcards is passive, while making flashcards is active. They will learn MUCH just while making them.

I'm not talking about printing out information, but actually handwriting and illustrating each card by hand.


Perhaps you can get some pointers from this article written for college students:
