quark
Thank you for posting this Kathy. I found the text available free here: http://www.lhup.edu/~dsimanek/chapman.htm Hoping it's the same one! :001_smile:
Colleen in NS
It's old (and OOP) because I purposely limited the copyright date to max 1960 when I searched the used book sites. I find that older books are sometimes less wordy, less 'pictureseque', and more concise. They seem to save me a lot of time. :) Anyway, this book is geared specifically to physics, but I think a lot of it could also be useful for math study (and maybe even other subjects). Oooo, clever idea for book-searching! Thanks! And thanks for the book rec. - I love books like this.

FloridaLisa
Very nice, especially since Physics is on the plate for at least one of my dc next year (and physical science with one or two others). THanks! Lisa
FrogMom5
Thank you for sharing this. I told my son that I had some nice, light summer reading for him. :D Seriously, this material will be very helpful. Denise
Laura in CA
Wow, thanks! Both of my sons will be studying physics next year, so this is perfect. I'll share it with friends, too. ~Laura
memphispeg
Kathy; Thank you, thank you, thank you very much!! Quark - nice free copy. This is v. great and I love the charm and tone of the writing....sooooo Sputnik moment! I could see it working with History and possibly Calculus as well. I was going to invest in a "How to succeed in College" type of text but, this may do an even better job!
