robsiew
My neighbor brought over a book her grandson made in school a few years ago. It's a really nice hardcover published book with his writing and illustrations. This is the site I found that did that particular book... Does anybody have any other places you've published a book at? I thought it would be a fun project for my kids this next year... I just want to get the best deal! ;)

KS_
There's CreateSpace and Lulu, too: https://www.createspace.com/ http://www.lulu.com/
Mama2Many4
I bought a kit from toysrus and they pretty much did the same thing. You send the kit in with your child's "book" and they turn it into a hardcover book.
abbeyej
I've used Lulu several times and been happy with the results. Price varies wildly depending on how you want to do it (hard cover, soft; quality of paper; color, black-and-white; dust jacket; etc...)... skeeterbug
This blogger made one from a photobook. Take a look, she included pics of all the pages. They grew silkworms and then made this book. Brilliant! If it's a short book with pictures then a photobook is the way to go. It would be an easy way to just try it out, too. And a great keepsake/gift for family. Miss Tick
Here is a post from KristenR about binding her own books - I am hoping to give it a try one of these days...
mom31257
:bigear: I would love to be able to make a book for my kids. I've told them both stories while they were growing up about a lamb and the farm he lives on. I cannot draw, but I've wondered if I could make the art work from decorative paper and cutouts. jujsky
We're doing that this year as well, but I haven't looked into places to get it published yet. My friend did a yearbook sort of thing for her kids last year, so I'll probably use whatever company she used.

learnersinbloom
I love that idea! So far I've only looked at Snapfish and Lulu, but haven't published anything yet. I know that with Lulu, they can do print-on-demand, so you can have relatives and friends purchase the book as well.

She's in Australia (so am I), Big W is a store here that's somewhat similar to Wal-Mart. But anywhere that you can make photobooks, so Wal-Mart, Shutterfly, etc.

I actually have my pics at Snapfish so I need to look there. :001_smile:
