wehave8
I REALLY wanted to use PR, but I was afraid I would be over doing it by adding R&S English (which I LOVED with older dc). Does PR cover grammar as well as R&S?
wehave8
Just wondering if PR covers Grammar thoroughly for 1-4th grades or would it be over kill to add R&S?
Guest
Having no experience but having perused the site in depth for my little ones, I would say yes, adding R&S would be serious overkill. PR is THOROUGH! with diagramming (she calls it scaffolding) and all the R&S covers plus more.
Chinalady
I have been through Levels 1 and 2 and will start 3 soon. In my opinion she does a most excellent job in teaching grammar. We have done Shirley Grammar in the past, and we much more prefer PR grammar. A lot less complicated as for as teaching goes and less repetitive and boring for the Children. It really is a great all inclusive program. I got tired of having separate currics for spelling, writing, grammar, etc... and I have been very impressed how she intermingles all of them together in one unit. I do also teach IEW methods for writing too. :)
