Deb in NJ
I also posted this on the highschool board -- but I am desperate for any recommendations that anyone may have..... :0) We have been using Videotext - last May we purchased their Geometry program which also contains Trig. The Trig portion hadn't been completed but he assured us that it would be out by Sept.....then by Nov.....then by Dec.....now one year later he said he still has 7 lessons to write! My daughter is taking AP Physics this Fall and needs to have Trig completed by then. Has anyone used an online course or video course for Trig that they were happy with? Thanks! plansrme
Life of Fred has a Trig book. We have it but have not used it formally. My daughter did Trig as part of CD precalculus this year, so she has not needed it, but she did enjoy reading through it for fun. For a quick, nothing but the basics trig program, it might just do the trick. Terri
plansrme
Sorry--Chalkdust does have a trig course. It is pricey to do the DVD version, but I hear there is a pay-by-the-month online lecture option where you get Dana Mosley lectures online. We love all Chalkdust courses, and my daughter learned a lot of trig in the trig part of precalculus. Terri
ccm
I have just started Thinkwell Precalculus with Edward Burger as part of my own self-education. I have not gotten to the trig portion yet, but it looks quite good, IMHO.
EKS
I'd take a look at Lial's trig book.
Jennifer in MI
Applied Trigonometry, Thomas McHale and Paul Witzke My son taught himself trig last semester with the book above. My mom is a college math teacher and gave me the book. It's really old and I don't know if it's available anymore. But, it is VERY well done!! Very easy for my ds to teach himself.
